The Time is Now

My healthy stuff isn't going so well.  I'm eating way too much.  Not feeling motivated to workout. And the muscles in my legs are killing me.  Mostly the ones on my heels.  They are so tight I can't hardly walk when I get up from sitting or laying down.

So we're starting with some Yoga.  Starting tonight.  I know it's 2am, but I'm up with a sick little boy so I might as well. Maybe it will help me sleep well enough to get up on time.

I will do 10 minutes of Yoga stretching.  I love downward facing dog.  It feels great on my hamstrings and calves.  But I love how Yoga transitions from one pose to another and keeps you moving.

So, enough writing and now for doing.  The time is now.

P.S.  I'm going to update and call my health related updates AudBod 2012 for this year.  :D  I like naming things. LOL

Enjoyin' the Little Moments

Today, I had a day off and it was a dang good thing I did.  In this heat I cannot sleep.
At.  All.
Last night I was literally awake the whole night.

But that's not the point of this post.  The point of this post was that today, we enjoyed a lot of little moments to the fullest.

#1 - Went to Ridley's today.  I totally basked in the friendly customer service there.  At least 3 of the employees greeted me, talked to the kids, or asked if I was finding everything alright and that was all just walking from the entrance through the deli and produce sections to the dairy section.

Spent $73.01 on groceries.  Saved $79.60!!  I love getting good deals and I especially love saving more than I spent.  I'm pretty sure I did a little victory dance booty shake out to the car for that awesome savings.

#2 - During the thunderstorm today we laid on my bed and watched and listened to the wind whip through the trees, saw amazing lightening, felt some big cracks of thunder, and cuddled as a family (- Erick because he had to work :( )

#3- After the lightening was done, we went out in the rainstorm and played and cooled off.  I actually sat in a chair and just leaned my head back and let the rain fall on my face.  Very refreshing to a tired body.

#4 - Ate Pace Bar Popsicles with the kiddos.  I love these popsicles thanks to Grandma Bolander who introduced me to them first.  I had a Tiger's Blood one today. Delish!  (Also one of the things I bought on sale at Ridley's today.

#5 - Mom, Dad, McKay, and Nicole came by after being at the Farmer's Market at Kreibel's Barn and gave us each one of these yummy things.

Mom's Cinnamon Rolls

The kids loved showing them their clean and newly rearranged rooms. I enjoyed the fact that at least a part of my house was clean when visitors came over.  Too bad it wasn't the kitchen and living room. :)

#6 - After dinner the kids played outside with bubbles and rode their bikes while I sat in my chair and enjoyed some cool fresh air.  Plus a beautiful sunset.  Too bad I didn't think to take a picture.

Just a few of the little moments we enjoyed today (one of the last days during the summer to do such things for us).

Healthy Goals Update:

I've gone 2 whole days without pop!  Plus I'm drinking all the water I need to.

Went and got a flu shot today.  First one I've ever gotten.  Not too bad.  We'll see if I'm achy tomorrow like they say you sometimes get.

My goal for the next 2 days is to do Yoga stretching for 5 minutes morning and night.  I'll let you know how it goes.  I know I'm not nearly as flexible as I was last year at this time.

Ya'll have a great night!

Birthday List

So my birthday is coming up.  It's on Sunday in fact.  The older I get the harder it is for me to think of things I'd like, but people (my Hubby) keep bugging me for a birthday list, so this is what I've come up with (a few of my favorites anyway).

Irideon Silhouette Hoodie

I love this hoodie and I desperately want one.

Women's Marlee Boot - Golden Condor
These boots are way cute!
PaperMate Profile Ballpoint Pens
These are by far my favorite pens for my planner, waiting tables, or anything.

Healthy Goals:

So my first day of no pop was a failure.  I had a sore throat and the ice cold pop was calling my name.  You know, I'd be able to eat better if food quit talking to me. Here is to day #2 of no pop and it will be a success!

My other goal today is to drink 64oz of water or more, depending on how thirsty I am.

Time to Start Blogging Again

I figure now that my computer is fixed it's time to start blogging again.  Life is going to get crazy and I figure if I take a few minutes to post about what's going on it'll be like my journal.

A quick update on what's been going on in the last year:

School, work, track, throwing camps, family reunion, and more work. Oh yeah, and who can forget watching the Olympics.
Sadly, I've gained back all but 10 pounds of what I lost last year.  I'll be working on that and posting results on here.

What's Coming Up:

Life is going to get crazy.  Financially we are not in a very good position so we have decided that I'll go back to work at Sportsman's Warehouse.  (Thanks to Nicole who hired me back and thanks to Virginia for working with my now crazy schedule.)  I'll still be working at Homestead a few shifts a week and then I start school on August 27.

Erick is starting online classes this fall also.  He's working on a bachelor's degree in Aviation Administration.  He's still working at Walgreens as a pharmacy technician.  Check out his woodworking stuff on Facebook at  Woodshed Designs page.

Myelle starts kindergarten this year.  We'll get to go register her on the 21st.  We're all very excited for her.  She's so excited she just can't quite hold still. LOL  She turns 6 this month.  She loves princesses and purple is her favorite color.  She really wants to do dance or gymnastics or swimming.  We just have to come up with the money to do it.  Perhaps soon.

Ben is 3 and all boy except his favorite color is pink. LOL  He loves sports and is always throwing something like a shotput or discus.  He likes to come watch me play volleyball on Tuesday nights, but that will have to end once school starts.  It's time to get back into our routine.  Ben really wants to be a cowboy. He told me the other day "Mom, I wish I could ride a horse or a cow or a sheep or...or something!"  Too funny.

Weight Loss:

I was going to weigh in and let you know where I was starting at, but the kids flooded the bathroom while taking a bath the other day and my scale was a victim.  So until I get another one I'll just let you know what I'll be doing to lose weight.  Starting with right now and I am going to cut out pop.  I get really bad when we go on vacation and I start drinking pop and then it's hard to stop again.  So from here on out...no pop.  I'll let you know how it goes.
